HANA

Shiba Inu | female | 4 years old | 28 lbs

My Story

Hana’s adoption donation will be a minimum of $750 which will sent directly via PayPal to her rescuer Bear to support Bear’s rescue organization in Beitou, Taiwan.

Hana was found at the foot of a mountain in Taiwan close to Beitou, Taipei. Her skin was in horrible condition, and she was very sweet to people so the local inhabitants fed her. A volunteer who regularly feeds stray dogs called us to help a “mixed dog who looks like a shiba inu”. The volunteer couldn’t recognize that Hana is a purebred shiba inu since she had lost almost of her fur and it was discolored from her rough living conditions and malnutrition. We went to help Hana and then took her to vet hospital and discovered that Hana was microchipped. We got in touch with her previous owner and at first, he denied that he had ever owned Hana. Then we asked him to transfer Hana’s microchip to us and the owner just said we can get information from the vet hospital to transfer Hana.

One of workers in the vet hospital told us the story of Hana. Hana was a breeding bitch; the owner spent a lot of money to buy Hana from Japan when she was pregnant. Hana lived with her previous owner for two years. One day she ran away from home when she was pregnant again and was lost for over 7 months before we found her. Her babies likely died outdoors if she did give birth.

Hana’s tail bone was broken and recovered on its own so her tail no long curls due to growth of bone tissue. She also got infected with heartworm while she was living as a stray but we got her treatment and she has now completed the treatment.

Now she is staying in foster home and waiting for a loving home that would be dedicated to her for the rest of her life.

My Personality

Hana is a loving animal, friendly to both human and dogs/cats. She is a mild, good-natured, sweet-tempered and intelligent dog. She is calm and stable and obeident. She is an absolutely a sweet girl, and anyone can pet her, even a stranger. She has good behaviors, no barking, and no chewing furniture.

She loves people, and has never lost faith, she is still positive attitude toward her future. She just needs more chances to be seen, and she is worthy to get a wonderful home.
