My Story

Loki was rescued from an illegal breeding farm/puppy mill that got shut down by the Taiwanese government a few weeks ago. Our local volunteer there managed to pull Loki and 3 others from the shelter where they have been medically checked by a vet, neutered, evaluated, and are now ready for their new homes! Loki has received a clean bill of health but does have cataracts in both eyes. The impairment has not affected his ability to explore his surroundings or engage with his foster family.

My Personality

Despite Loki's past, he is a sweet pup who still thrives on the affection of humans. He's done great in foster care where there are many other dogs in the home for him to socialize with. He loves cuddling up with the humans on the couch and playing with his foster siblings! He may be a little nervous in new environments as he's still learning to enjoy what it means to be a dog in the outside world. His fosters are currently working with him on fully housebreaking, walking on a leash, and crate training.

The ideal family for Loki should be patient and understand the care needs of a special-needs pup, continue to socialize him, and commit to training to become an upstanding canine citizen! He'd be a great dog for first-time dog owners and city dwellers. Because of his breed and vision impairment, he may be vocal with unfamiliar noises initially. His foster family says he’s been a quiet angel in their apartment!
