Lucy's Story
“Lucy and her sibling Datou were abandoned in park when they were 3 months old. A man feed them but didn’t take them home. They were living in park for 3 weeks until Lucy’s brother been caught into animal shelter. We rescued her brother Datou out of shelter before he be putted in death, and we rescued Lucy in the same day from park. Both Lucy and Datou have been sent to separate foster home. Datou was adopted in San Francisco when he was months old.”
Get to Know Lucy
“Lucy was with her first foster parent for over a year, they loved her so much that they wanted to adopt her. Unfortunately due to personal matters, after over a year they were no longer able to adopt Lucy and she was moved to our home. She was absolutely devastated and it broke our hearts seeing how attached she was to her original foster dad. She did not eat for 2 days, waited by the door, would even bring her leash to me to signal that she wanted to go out to look for him. She was what you would call depressed. After some time, she finally realized that she would not be going back to her original foster home, and once she had made that realization she started to open up and blossom. She is the sweetest girl and I can see why the original foster parents wanted to keep her. I have no doubt that an even better situation is waiting for her, she deserves a loving forever home!”
