MAY
Jindo mix | unspayed female | 5.5 months old | 24 lbs

My Story
May is a rescue from Jeju Island, South Korea. Due to increased transportation costs, the adoption donation starts at $625 for puppies from Jeju Island. Only available for adoption to SF Bay Area/Northern California.
May was on the death row at the only animal shelter on Jeju island. The shelter is a high kill shelter that gives only 10 days to live.
My Personality
May is affectionate and gentle. She is a playful puppy, but not so energetic. She is a little shy to unknown, new things like strollers and long tongs. She gets a little nervous and likes to observe them in a distance until she feels safe. She is good with other dogs and all people, but she gets scared at little kids running around, screaming. She loves to play in nature and run around outside.
May is not a quiet dog, but not a loud dog, either. She barks at noises coming from the outside, but it’s not out of control. She has a loud voice, but barks only when she feels scared (from the noise outside, or when surprised)
Medium to high energy.
May is not very shy to men, but she prefers women and other doggy friends to men. However, she gets friendly after 2-3 days.
SOCIALIZATION QUICK FACTS
Comments: May is shy towards unfamiliar people and situations
NOT SUITABLE FOR A HOME WITH CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13 -She is not aggressive, but scared of little kids running around and screaming. She tucks her tail down and tries to avoid them as much as she could.
Met cats on walks and reacts to them she would to other puppies. Does not live in a foster home with cats.
DAILY ROUTINE QUICK FACTS
Comments: May is strictly outdoor potty trained.
May is not destructive in the house because the foster gives her lots of things to chew on, but one thing to be careful is that she has destroyed a few electric cables.
May needs additional leash training -she tugs because she wants to go to places she wants. The foster is walking her every day so it has improved, but still requires leash training continuously.
