MIA (12/8/2019 NOT ACCEPTING NEW APPLICATIONS)

Pomeranian | spayed female | 3 years 11 months old | 6.7 lbs

My Story

Mia’s adoption donation will be a minimum of $825 which will sent directly via PayPal to her rescuer Bear to support Bear’s rescue organization’s veterinary medical bill debt in Beitou, Taiwan.

Mia had a very tough start in life. Her first owner bought her from a pet shop and then abandoned her to a non-kill shelter when she was one year old. It is difficult to image how a small dainty Pomeranian was able survive to survive in such a treacherous conditions. (Shelters in Taiwan are all overcrowded and underfunded due to the overpopulation of abandoned/stray dogs) While living in the shelter, Mia’s fur became messy and matted. The worst part was that both of her joints between the femur and fibula dislocated frequently due to the rugged rocks on ground. Even though Mia is a purebred, no one adopted her from the shelter because she looked dirty and the issue with her legs.

Our rescuer Bear took Mia out of the shelter to end her one year of shelter life and then brought her to a vet hospital do surgery for both of her back legs. The vet put two steel sticks separately into both back legs to fix the dislocation issue. Two months after Mia’s surgery; Mia was adopted out to a good home that was a family with a mom, dad and two boys. The family that adopted Mia thought that Mia would have lame legs for her rest life so they provided many nutritious foods to Mia, especially Glucosamine. They also took Mia to everywhere with them to see the world. Mia’s legs were no longer lame after six months living in under the good care of the new family. Unfortunately, the family needs to rehome Mia because the the whole family will be relocating to Vietnam due to the husband’s job; and his company provides housing that does not allow pets.. Mia has had one year and nine months of a happy life. She is very loved by the family that is so sad that they have no choice but to let Mia go. As per our adoption contract, our dogs need to be rehomed through our rescue. Mia is a healthy Pomeranian and she has received a clean bill of health with up to date vaccinations. Her way to happiness was rough and bumpy, but sweet Mia’s trust in human has never wavered.

My Personality

Mia is a super sweet young pup with a loving heart. She is friendly to humans, dogs and cats. She is mellow, intelligent, and sweet-tempered. She’s always smiling and loves to cuddle. She is an absolute sweet heart- anyone can pet her, even strangers. Having been through a miserable past, she never lost her trust in humans; she still holds a positive attitude toward her future. Mia certainly deserves to have a wonderful home.
